Welcome to Crows Crossing! I’m passionate about sharing my thoughts on books and connecting with fellow readers. Here’s a little insight into my review process and policies:
Genres I Review:
I enjoy reading and reviewing a wide range of genres, including:
- Fantasy
- Romance
- Sci-Fi
- Thrillers
- Historical Fiction
- Young Adult
- Informational Books On Homesteading
While I’m open to exploring new genres, I primarily focus on books that resonate with my interests. I may deny reading a book if it has specific triggers or if it’s a dark romance (for example, Haunting Adeline). So please include an honest list of trigger warnings, if it has any.
Review Style:
My reviews are honest and balanced. I share what I enjoyed and where I felt there was room for improvement. I highlight elements that might help readers decide if the book is right for them, such as themes, pacing, character development, and more. I’ve done several classes on creative writing, so my reviews also have my experience backing them.
Review Timeline:
As each book receives thoughtful attention, I generally require a few weeks to complete a review. If you need a review by a specific date, please let me know in advance, and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
Review Format and Platforms:
In addition to posting reviews on this blog, I share my thoughts on Goodreads and Fable. All reviews reflect my own opinions.
Accepting Review Copies:
I’m happy to consider review requests from publishers, authors, and agents. I’ll accept physical copies or e-reader format. While I can’t promise to review every book I receive, I consider each request carefully. I’m also open to discussing book features and giveaways.
