Hello everyone!

My name is Amy, I was raised on a farm and orchard. I’ve always had a profound love for gardening and tending to animals.
I’ve worked in places that have enriched my knowledge for both these things. I’ve attended classes and programs in permaculture, gardening, herbalism and natural building. This has helped expand all I know, listening to people that have been doing it longer than I have. This is when I learned I wanted to teach people what I know, but also learn from others.

So in came this idea for this blog! I wanted to be able to connect with more like minded people and learn through each other!

I love homesteading, the idea of a simple life.

I also realized I have a love of reading. I believe that gardening and reading go hand in hand. That’s why I wanted to dedicate a small corner of this blog to books, reviews and eventually a book club.
I mostly read romance/fantasy, but I read a variety.
